"What makes Christmas?
Is it a calendar date? Is it the giving and getting,
the eating and drinking, the greeting cards,
the Christmas tree, the holly, the colorful lights,
tinsel, the glamour? Is it the story of Bethlehem,
the manger, the Infant in swaddling clothes,
the shepherds, the angels, the magi, the star,
the nativity of the matchless Babe born of a
virgin? What makes Christmas real?
The living Christ dwelling in our hearts!"

Visions of my own Christmas tree in 2007. The dresses are handmade from antique cotton handkerchiefs. Some are from a friend who passed away (in 2006 at the age of 96) and others are from her daughter. Each one is one of my cherished treasures.
